JEE mains counselling will be held in online mode from June 15 to last week of July. This will be conducted bye JoSAA, so the candidates have to register for the official websites of JoSSA to participate in the Jee mains counselling and seat Allotments. JoSSA conducts two mock rounds followed by seven rounds of counselling. This mock rounds helps the students to know the seats that they will be allowed based on choice filling. And the seats allotted based on their choices filled by candidates. I hope this information may helps you. Thank you!!!
Hii
Qualifying Jee mains doesn't assures you to go for counselling, but you need a good rank under 30000 to get into NIT.
Now, after result, you will be asked to register for counselling and fill up your Choice by second week of june. Then by last days of june counselling will start and will go till third week of july. Whenever you get the seat you have to report to RC and get your documents verification done and pay seat acceptance fees. And then you will have to take admission in alloted college by third week of july.
Hope it helps
After you qualify the JEE Mains, you will have to wait till the results of JEE Advanced are out irrespective of whether you appear for JEE Advanced or not.
After the results of JEE Advanced are out, A national admission conducting body JoSAA invites registrations from all the applicants who wants to register themselves in any NIT/IIT using their scores in JEE Main/ JEE Advanced respectively.
After the registration deadline, students are allotted seats on the basis of choices filled after the registration by them and their ranks in the respective exam.
If you do not appear for JEE Advanced then you will get a list of NITs only and then you will have to select the NITs and the branches you wish to get allotted. However, the allotment of a seat in any particular NIT is subject to the availability of the seats (students with the better rank and filling the same choice will get it more easily than you ).
