For the year 2020, for admission into NITs IIITs and GFTIs, you only need to have a pass certificate from your respective board to be eligible for admission.
The minimum eligibility criteria of 75% in boards has been relaxed for the year 2020.
Based on your rank in JEE Mains, if you belong to general category, then you have very good chances of getting seat in some of the top NITs and IIITs and GFTIs. You can also get core branches like mechanical, ECE and CSE in the newer NITs.
If your given rank is your category rank and you belong to some reservation category, then with that category rank, you have chances of getting some good branches in the NITs IIITs and GFTIs.
You can even apply through the home state quota to get even better seats based on your rank and category.
