sir my name in income caste have become swetha instead of shweta while in all other documents its shweta ... during income caste correction my RD number has changed now which one should i provide during mbbs admission..will my seat get cancelled??
Hello,
You should provide the corrected income and caste certificate with the new RD number, as it is the valid one now. A small spelling difference like Swetha/Shweta usually does not create a problem if all other details (DOB, parents’ name, etc.) match.
During MBBS admission, you can also carry an affidavit explaining the name spelling difference. Your seat will not get cancelled for this minor issue if you have valid documents.
Hope it helps !
Hey Shweta:)
Thanks for reaching out!
Your cast certificate first had spelling mistakes and you got it corrected, and after the correction, the system generated a new RD number. This is normal once the correction is done government issues a fresh RD number for the updated certificate. For your MBBS admission you should submit the corrected certificate with the new RD number since it carries your correct name .The old RD number is no longer valid, and your seat will not be cancelled just because of this.At verification,if they ask,you can simply explain that correction was done and this is the valid updated certificate.
Hope you'll find this helpful!
