CMC Vellore will not release a separate merit list of its own. CMC Vellore had surrendered its seats to the Tamil Nadu state government and therefore the entire counselling process including the release of merit list is being conducted by the Tamil Nadu state government. Candidates were required to have successfully submitted the application form for both CMC Vellore and Tamil Nadu to be eligible for the process of counselling. There are a total of 100 seats in the Institute of which 14 seats are open to candidates from all over India (since CMC Vellore is a private institute), 85 seats are for sponsored candidates, and one seat is for Government of India nominee. Counselling for those 14 seats was conducted on July 30 and counselling for the sponsored seats was held on July 31.
