There are many schemes from various state governments and the central government for scholarship for minority candidates also if you do engineering then various colleges like nit/iit/gfti have the scheme of charging no tution fee from candidates who are from minority or are financially weak.

Hi Passang, if you intend to pursue a future in medicine, you will have to clear the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) after clearing your Class 12 exam. NEET will provide admissions to around 90,000 MBBS and BDS seats in all medical and dental colleges across the country. However, to be eligible for NEET, you will have to complete your 11th and 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects and score 40% aggregate marks in these. The rest of the admission process will depend on your NEET score. If you intend to pursue something other than medicine, then note that the eligibility marks to appear in most entrance exams in any stream for ST candidates is around 45%-50% overall in Class 12. You will however have to clear the entrance exam with the required marks. You can take admissions in Arts courses in many reputed colleges without giving an entrance exam but for this you will have to score well in Class 12, atleast above 90% for the Delhi University colleges. In terms of scholarships, you may apply for the Merit cum Means Scholarship offered by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India. You can also apply for the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students offered by the MHRD. For both of these, you will need to score above 50% in Class 12 and fulfill other eligibility requirements. ONGC and Indian Oil also offer scholarships for meritorious students. Apart from these, many colleges and Universities also offer fee waivers and scholarship options to students depending on their financial conditions and merit.
