IES stands for Indian Engineering Servies.
the exam is conducted by UPSC every year for the recruitment of candidates of different services such as,

-civil engineering

-mechanical engineering

-electrical engineering

-electronics engineering.

Education Qualification: the candidate should have degree in engineering from unversity recognised by UGC.
