Tancet cutoff and normalization mark are same or not

In case of TANCET, cut off and normalization marks are both the same. TANCET counselling is don based on the normalization marks only. Normalized marks/ cut off are the marks which are calculated using the actual score. The following formula is used for TANCET to calculate the normalization marks: 40 + (10/S) (R– M) where,

M= Mean Marks or total marks obtained from the Part I, Part II and Part III divided by 3.

S= Standard deviation of raw marks

R= Raw marks or total marks obtained from Part I, Part II and Part III.
