Hey,

Let the number of boys be x and the number of girls be y.

From the given we can conclude that,

5x+ 6y = 57

As it's just one equation so we need to do hit and trail and figure out the value of x and you that results in 57.

When we put you= 2, we get, 5x= 45 , which completely divides and results in x=9

So there are 9 boys as well 2 girls.
