hi,
suppose there is x number of girls and y number of boys.
so the total score of girls is x*53= 53x
the total score of boys is y*75=75y
now the number of total student in the class is =total of boys and girls=x+y.
so the total score of the class is (x+y)*62.
now the equalization process,
as we already have total of boys score and total of girls score , that is equal with the total students of the class score:
53x+ 75y=(x+y)62.
just solve the equation, you can get the answer.
