the candidates can participate in next kcet exam who had already got seat through kcet. If no, what is the process for to attend next kcet
Yes, the candidate who have attended the last year kcet but not joined the alloted college he/she can write the kcet exam in the present year but the condition is, for example if you have got seat in engineering discipline/stream then you are not able to opt engineering this year because, neither you joined your alloted college last year nor you surrendered your seat to kea so this is the rule which will be applicable on you, instead you can choose any of the other streams such as medical, dental, farm science and etc.
Note that if a candidate had surrendered his/her seat to kea before second extended round then a candidate has an opportunity to opt the engineering stream/discipline this year.
Hope you have understood the answer.
Hi Vijaydhanu,
According to the official circular, "A candidate who had obtained a seat in any discipline through KEA (CET Cell) in any of the previous years and not surrendered the seat before the last date fixed for entry of options for final round of seat allotment for the respective disciplines will not be eligible for allotment of a seat to the same discipline during 2018. However, he/she is eligible to appear for CET-2018 for allotment of seat in any other discipline as per rule 15 (5) of Karnataka Selection of Candidates for Admission to Government seats in Professional Educational Institutions Rules, 2006."
