    The first clinical gene therapy was done for the treatment of ADENOSINE DEAMINASE. It took place back in the year of 1990 when a 4 years old girl was suffering from this congenital disease ie ADENOSINE DEAMINASE deficiency which was affecting her ability to fight affections and was lowering her immunity too.
