time management for 1st year mbbs student?
The main problem with MBBS course is with its enormosity and not its toughness. To tackle this, one needs to have good time management skills. Here are some tips-
- Wake up early
Become a member of the 5 AM Club. I know it is hard to wake up early everyday in the morning especially when you are watching movies till 3 AM.
There is absolutely no disturbance in the morning and your mind is also fresh and devoid of useless thoughts. You will be surprised at your learning speed when you study in the morning. Give it a try.
- Have a fixed schedule
You need to properly schedule your whole day in advance. There are various apps available that have wonderful planning and reminder features. Make use of them.
Don't set unrealistic goals and get disappointed when you are not able to fulfill them. Your schedule should be flexible.
- Avoid distractions
By distractions I basically mean your MOBILE.
Ever wondered why you studied only 2 pages of Guyton in an hour. The reason for that is your mobile which keeps distracting you after every 5 minutes. Therefore while you study , switch off your phone and keep it away from you.
After you have accomplished your goal ( lets say completed one chapter) , you can switch on your phone and relax a bit.
- Yoga and meditation
Just take out half an hour from your day and devote it to performing yoga and meditation. It will increase your concentration and overall productivity.
- Concluding analysis
Before you go to sleep at night , just think about all what you have accomplished that day. If you are like me, there is a high chance that you will be disappointed after doing this.
This disappointment will help you wake up the next day and will drive you towards your goal. This concluding analysis at the end of the day will keep you determined towards your goal.
Don't just read this answer, feel motivated for 5 minutes and then go back to your usual way of living.
If you want certain things from life , you need to make certain changes in it.
