To get get 1000 below ranking in kcet how much i have to score in kcet if my pcm total percentage is 84.66% .
Answer (1)
KCET rank will be calculated by considering the performances in KCET and QE (quallifying examination) as well.I will explain with an example ,so assume that u have scored 131/180 in KCET and 254/300 in QE,then your % marks in KCET is 72.77% and in QE it is 84.66% now they will add this two( that is, the formula goes like this
Rank will be given
R={(%KCET+%QE)/200}100
(This is for better understanding)
In my example .
{(72.77+84.66)/200}100= 78.71
Then they will sort ,who has got more R (i have taken this R for better understanding) value will get good rank.
And the rank to a particular R value varies every year,
i,e. In KCET 2017 for R= 78.71 the rank would vary around 3k to 4k.
But in KCET 2018 for R= 78.71 the rank would be around 5k to 5.5k .
(as it dependent on number of candidates ,difficulty of question paper and competition level).
Hope this helped you.
