Hello aspirant!
To join NIT, you have to score the required cutoff marks in JEE Mains. and in order to get admission in IIT, you must clear JEE advanced. Admission to these institutions is not based on boards score but only on JEE exams. However, to take JEE entrance test, you must pass your boards.
