We came to Bengaluru in June 2014.Would my child be eligible to give Kcet engineering in 2019?
Dear Karruna,
Yes, your child is eligible for appearing in KCET 2019. However, he/she will not be considered eligible for admission into government/private institutes through KCET 2019. He/she can only sit for the exam. As per the eligibility criteria of KEA, candidates who have studied from class 1st to 2nd PUC/class 12th in the academic institution situated in Karnataka state and have at least 7 years of school education from 1st class to 12th/2nd PUC in the state (Karnataka) institutions (wherein class 10th, 11th and 12th should be from Karnataka only) will be eligible for admission through KCET 2019. From this perspective, your child is not eligible for admission. However, if you (either of the parent - Mother/Father) is a domicle of Karnataka State, then your child is eligible for appearing in KCET and will also be considered eligible for admission into government/private institutes at the seats reserved.
If you do not meet either of the above criteria, then your child can try COMEDK UGET 2019.
