Well I am a Class 12th student having score 64% approx in PCM in CGBSE board in Chhattisgarh Bhilai I have a question regarding what degree I should pursue well genuinely I don't like engeneering or coding in 11th class I have done a course of computer called ADCA I want to join army in future tell me details About If you have your opinion considering all your reasons Well I am kind of frustrated But I have also done my research too First I want to join NCC in college and my doing my sports too which I have started recently I want to become an officer in army but also have to think If I have disqualified in medicals or didn't able crack written or interview what next Thats why I want you to help me regarding this matter I was thinking about doing political science as Major or other subjects in minor But for a science background like doing Humanities is it okay and I also like reading news about specifically geopolitics and others So guide me please it will be a huge help for me thanks

Choosing Humanities is completely okay if your goal is Army or defence-related careers, especially if you enjoy subjects like geopolitics and current affairs.
Political Science can actually be a really good choice because it helps in:
• CDS/AFCAT preparation
• Current affairs & international relations
• SSB interview discussions
• UPSC/SSC backup options
You can also take subjects like History, Geography, or Economics along with it since they overlap with defence exam syllabus too.
During college, try to:
• Join NCC if possible
• Stay active in sports/fitness
• Improve communication and GK
• Prepare gradually for CDS/AFCAT/NDA entries
And honestly, if you don’t enjoy heavy coding or advanced maths, Humanities can reduce academic stress and give you more time to focus on defence preparation and personality development.
