There was no hearing for CMC Vellore on May 7, 2018, as the college has decided to surrender its seats to the Tamil Nadu State government. So, starting this year onwards it will be considered as another private college in the state and the counselling for the seats in the college will be conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education, Tamil Nadu. As for the 99 seats of 2017, unfortunately, there will be no admission to those seats. Admission to MBBS courses through the state counselling authority will be effective from 2018 onwards.
