So really, is there no option or am I wrong?
Dear Deepak ,
Glad to know that you're interested in pursuing law programme from Army Institute of Law, Mohali. Great that you have asked a question as it'll help not only you but others who are seeking answers to similar questions.
Coming to your query, the Army Institute of Law offers 80 seats altogether, in which 60 seats are reserved for Army Personnel' wards.
If you're interested in filling the application form under Wards of Army Personnel category, then you need to go through the following conditions -
Wards of serving Army personnel with minimum 10 years continuous service in the Army.
Wards of ex-Army personnel granted/awarded regular pension, liberalized family pension, family pension or disability pension at the time of their superannuation, demise, discharge, release medical board/invalided medical board. This includes ward of the recruits who are medically boarded out and granted disability pension.
Wards of ex-Army personnel who have taken discharge or release after ten years of service.
Last year, around 4000 candidates had applied for Army Institute of Law.
I hope this clarifies most of your doubts. If there are still any, feel free to counter-question me and I'll be happy to help you.
Ask questions and it'll help you in learning more.
All the best!
Thank you.
