what are the medical colleges where we can avail defence quota
Several medical colleges in India offer MBBS seats under the Defence Quota for children or dependents of defense personnel. Notable among them is the Army College of Medical Sciences (ACMS) in Delhi Cantt, which reserves most of its seats for wards of army personnel. The Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune also offers MBBS admission through NEET but includes additional screening and is meant primarily for candidates aiming to serve in the armed forces. In states like Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, many government medical colleges reserve a small percentage (usually 1–10%) of their seats under the Defence Quota, which are filled through state counseling. Additionally, a few seats are also allotted at the national level through the Kendriya Sainik Board, under the Ministry of Defence. Eligible candidates must have qualified NEET and submit proper defense service certificates during admission.
