to get into iits or nits, the best book you need to have read and learnt should be the ncert text books because as you may have heard the question prepared for the examination are based on the syllabus of ncert. moreover there are about 30% questions which are directly taken from the ncert text books for the jee mains examination as well as the jee advanceed examinaiton have a modified way of miscellaneaous exercise in that text
