What does it mean by a good attempt in GATE?

A valid score in necessary in GATE for M.E./ M.Tech admissions or PSU recruitment . If such a score is secured by the candidates, which meets the criteria for admissions and recruitment, then it can be considered a good attempt. The cutoff list varies every year and those candidates who meet the cutoff are considered to have had a good attempt in the exam.
