What happens to our caste certificate/ ews certificate once we secure admission under a particular quota in college? Are the documents sent back to district office for reverification or retained by the college or only the copies kept by them?

Greetings !!
The College authorities will verify our original caste certificate and ensures that the same is valid. They won't keep the originals, usually asks for copies for filing. But original need to be with you at the time of admission. Usually Caste certificates are having validity of 1 - 3 years. So after the course period you need to renew the validity of your existing certificate by giving new application. If any doubts, pls feel free to ask.
