what if my address is correct and pincode is wrong?like instead of 18515 they have written 185152.
Hello,
A Postal Index number or a PIN is a 6 digit number for postal services in India.
All its 6 digits have relevant information in them
For example, consider the no. given by you, 185152 which is of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
So, if you have given a correct address and a correct pincode, then no worries.
But, seeing the pincode that you have provided is only of 5 digits and not of 6 digits as it would be. So, the authorities would have corrected your pincode if you have written ot wrong as mentioned by you and it is only of 5 digits.
But, even if you have provided correct address and wrong pincode, then also the authorities would look after it and they is not a problem of much concern.
Hope that helps.
