What is category rank ? Is that the basis of admission to medical college?

NTA has released the NTA Cutoff Score along with the NTA NEET result on 5th June 2019. The NEET Cutoff score is the minimum score needed for the candidate to qualify NEET and to be eligible for the NEET counselling 2019. The NEET cut off score 2019 for General category candidates is 50 percentile while 40 percentile for OBC/SC/ST. NEET cutoff 2019 will be displayed on the scorecard of NEET with the All India Rank (AIR), Category Rank and overall as well as subject-wise score

For SC,ST and OBC candidate there is also a seperate rank according to their category.From 2018 onwards various courses like bams,bhms,bums,bvsc etc have been included in NEET exam so if you want to take admission in one of these above courses then it is mandatory for you to give NEET exam.i Hope this information helps you.
