CSAB - CENTRAL SEAT ALLOCATION BOARD, is responsible for filling the vacant seat in NITs, IIITs and gftis or iiest after josaa counseling. And for that a counseling is conducted called Csab special round counselling. And this counseling is generally of two rounds.
For applying in csab special round counseling, one must fulfill the basic eligibility criterias :-
Now, for applying csab special round counseling, you have to register yourself online on csab offical website ( csab.nic.in ). The registration will start from 17th november 2020 at 10:00 am . You have to do the choice filling of your preferred colleges in a preference order and lock it. The registration and choice filling will end on 19th november 5pm.

- You must have given JEE Mains and securing a valid rank
- If you are are not allotted any seat in JoSAA or didn't participated in JoSAA counselling or your seat git cancelled or you have withdrawn your josaa seat, then also you can participate in CSAB special round for NITs, IIITs and GFTIs 2020
- If you have been allotted any seat in NITs, IIITs or GFTIs through JoSAA and you are retaining your JoSAA seat, then also you can participate in csab special round counseling.
Now, for applying csab special round counseling, you have to register yourself online on csab offical website ( csab.nic.in ). The registration will start from 17th november 2020 at 10:00 am . - Now, if you got alloted any josaa seat and have paid the seat acceptance fees as well as partial admission fees then you just only have to give rupees 2000 as participation fees for csab special round counselling 2020 ( as your rest of the partial admission fees will be adjusted in the registration fees of csab special round counseling ). And this rupees 2000 is non-refundable processing charges.

If you have accepted the josaa seat but your seat got cancelled due to non payment of partial admission fees, then you just only have to give
rupees 2000 as participation fees
for csab special round counselling 2020 ( as your rest of the partial admission fees will be adjusted in the registration fees of csab special round counseling ).
And this rupees 2000 is non-refundable processing charges.
- Now, if you are a fresh candidate ( don't got alloted any seat in josaa or not participated in josaa or got allotted any seat in josaa but not paid seat acceptance fees or you have exercised exit option or got any seat alloted in IIT ), and you are participating in csab special round, then you have to pay participation fees of Rs. 37000 ( for GEN, GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL ) or Rs. 17000 (for SC, ST, PwD candidates) via online mode on the CSAB portal.
