The cutoff for each branch/course offered in VIT varies every year depending on the factors such as:

The difficulty level of the VITEEE examination.

Number of candidates who appeared in the exam.

Previous year VITEEE cutoff trends for Btech
-
Total number of seats on which admissions are offered
But I can give you a rough idea on the basis of previous years records:
- to get a seat in CSE course in VIT Vellore, you must secure rank around 6000 and to get a seat in VIT Chennai you can get seat upto 14k rank.
- For electrical and electronics engineering you must rank around 14k for Vellore campus and for chennai campus rank around 30,000.
- Mechanical engineering: Vellore campus- around 20k for Chennai campus around 30k
- Civil engineering: Vellore campus - around 35,000 and for Chennai campus around 40,000
