Some countries have special MBBS Honours course . Example — Research within MBBS (Honours) . They write as MBBS (Hons) after the degree is awarded. Most are “pass course MBBS” lol because that course is rare to non-existent in most of the countries. That is basically continuation of old system.
Some countries, (like India) at present has no honours course for MBBS (as far I know). In case of India, scoring over 75% in any (one or more) medical science colloquially may award Honours in that subject. But such honours against a subject like Pharmacology may not have to anything with the MBBS degree itself.
MCI has code of conduct for the Indian doctors as example of rules of how the doctors expected to write their names, degrees etc for the professional works.
