What is meant by MOP-UP ROUND in NEET ? How many marks are required in NEET to get admission in MBBS govt college through MOP-UP ROUND ??

Dear Chethan,

Mop Up round will be conducted after the second round of counselling in Karnataka, for giving admission to seats which remain vacant after the second round. In this round, while all the NEET qualified candidates who register for the counselling will be eligible to participate, the seats will be allotted in the order of merit as per the categories. So, there is no guarantee of securing a seat, since seats will be allotted as per merit.

Coming to the other part of your question, the mop-up counselling round will take place for both government and private seats.

MOP UP ROUND IS FOR VACENT SEAT IN EVERY MEDICAL COLLEGE WEATHER PRIVATE OR DEEMED.IT IS ALSO ONLINE COUNSELLING ROUND.

BUT AS PER THE REPORTS AFTER 1ST ROUND OF COUNSELLING ONKY FEW SEATS ARE REMAINING IN EVRY DEEMED UNIVERSITIES COLLEGES THAT MEANS NO. OF VACENT SEAT IN PRIVATE COLLEGES ( LOW FEE THEN DEEMED) ARE ALREADY ON URGE OF FULL AFTER 1ST ROUND.
SO GETTING A SEAT IN MOP-UP ROUND WILL ALSO BE DIFFICULT.
IF YOUR SCORE IS LOWER THEN 380 THEN YOUR CHANCES OF GETTING A GOOD UNDER GENERAL CATEGORY ARE VERY LOW.
