if you don't know I must say IIT Roorkee is well known for the civil department as compared to other IIT'S

These are the some pros and cons-

pros

1. Best equipment's and labs

2. well experienced faculties.

Cons

1. Descent placement opportunities.

if you want to pursue civil engineering as a carrier or in future you want to do IAS/IES than choosing this branch at IIT Roorkee is one of the great option you no where find such exceptional education other than IIT Roorkee specially in this branch. The average package offered is around is 7LPA which is not as much good but it is nice. I suggest if you have only this option go for it.
