In my view, I think you should not worry about the placements. If you work hard in the course and learn as much as you can, any company visiting the campus would be happy to hire you. However, you must not neglect polishing your communication skills as well, because companies will check that in their interviews. LPU provides plenty of opportunities to its students to take part in events, competitions, fests in order to let them grow their personality and give them a chance to polish their skills.
I am alumni of Lovely Professional University,I would say , LPU provides a good platform for placements for all streams and programs. LPU has a separate dept which looks after placement opportunities. apart from that, each school has its own placement coordinator who is responsible and actively works for not only calling companies to the campus, but also for preparing students for placements by giving them proper training.
University prepares its students for placements through special inputs in the form of placement classes. Students are given a lot of on-job training as well as work on projects where they can earn also. CSE placements of the university are very good with students getting high packages.

placement varies from college to college and each college has different placement ratio for students. But in a top private college like VIT or SRM or BITS one can expect an average package of over 6 LPA to be offered to students.It can vary also.
