what is the Communitarian theory of citizenship? Elaborate.
Hello Aspirant,
I hope you are doing well.
A philosophy known as communitarianism places an emphasis on the relationship between the individual and the community. Its basic tenet is the conviction that a person's social identity and personality are mostly shaped by their interactions with others in their society, with individuality having less of an impact on development. Although the community may be a family, communitarianism is typically regarded in a more general, philosophical meaning as a set of interactions among a community of people in a specific location (geographical location), or among a community who share an interest or who share a history. Extreme individualism and laissez-faire policies that put the stability of the entire community last are typically opposed by communitarianism.
I hope this helps.
Good Luck
