There are total aproximately 15000 seats in NITs. So considering the students going for drop and IITs upto 35000 rank in general category can anyhow get a seat in any NIT. So you need to be in 35000 if you are general. Talking about marks, it solely depends upon the level of paper. And cutoff of NITs are provided in terms of ranks. So estimation of marks is difficult. But 150+ marks will surely help you.
