What is the meaning of 'NOT UPGRADED' in NEET COUNSELLING... and 'RETAINED' meaning in same...?

Not upgraded means the in this round you were not alloted any higher choice seat from your choice list. The seat which was lastly alloted to you is retained. That means in this round you didn't got any seat but however your seat of last round is with you.
