NIFT does not announce any minimum cutoff marks as such. Based on the result (March) of written test, General Ability Test (GAT) and Creative Ability Test (CAT), the shortlisted B.Design candidates are called for second test called Situation Test (April-May). For B.F.Tech. candidates, GAT is the final test for selection. Seats to B.Design and B.F.Tech are allocated solely on the basis of merit.
