see the average salary is depends on which course you are pursuing from iits, or in which stream you are rdoing your courses. compare to general msc or phd courses in iits, engineering placement package is highest, for old iits, average placement package is 10 lpa or even more depends on streams, from past five years students from computer engineering departments getting highest packages.
