what is the persentage should be maintained by a sc candidate to get into iit
It mainly depends on the branch that you are choosing and also the IIT you need. For eg) branches like Computer Science, Information Technology etc have higher cutoffs comparatively and IIT KHADAGPUR, IIT BOMBAY etc have higher cutoffs as well for all the branches available. I will tell you in general. The minimum percentage of aggregate marks needed for getting into IIT for a general category candidate are 35.0 and 17.5 for SC student. The revised cutoff if compared, then its 25.0 for general category and 12.5 for SC. This is as per last years analysis.
If you are talking about boards examination (10+2), then you need above 65% and also you need to score above 65 individually in PCM subjects.
Refer to the website below to know the cutoffs of IITs in JEE ADVANCED for some previous years..

Hello,
The eligibility to get admission in IITs is that a candidate must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry from a recognized board. Candidates belonging to general category must have scored 75% marks and for SC/ST it is 65% marks. So you need to score 65% marks in class 12. The admission is based on merit in JEE Advanced.
