You need only a minimum of 10 marks in each paper, that is 10 marks in paper 1 and 10 marks in paper 2 for qualifying in the Engineering entrance exams.
Private colleges to do not have strict admission criteria so they do not consider whether you got a low rank , as all they want are students .
If you got at least 10,000 rank or below then you would have a good chance in most Government Engineering Colleges (except CET and GEC Thrissur)
