From the total seats of JIPMER Puducherry, 4 will be allotted to eligible OPH candidates on a horizontal reservation basis. A total of 2 seats from the available JIPMER Karaikal seats will be allotted to eligible OPH candidates on the horizontal reservation basis.

The reservation criteria at JIPMER Puducherry and Karaikal stipulates the setting aside of seats for Puducherry candidates in addition to the Government mandated categories of OBC, SC and ST. JIPMER also offers seats to NRI/OCI candidates.

From the total of 150 seats at JIPMER Puducherry, four seats will be reserved for OPH candidates on a horizontal reservation basis, and similarly, out of the 50 seats at JIPMER Karaikal, two seats will be reserved for OPH candidates.
