What is the eligibility criteria of JIPMER 2019?

The following are the JIPMER 2019 eligibility requirements:

The student must be a citizen of India. Overseas citizens, on the other hand, can apply for this entrance exam.

At the time of admission, the candidate must have reached the age of 17 or will reach the age on or before December 31, 2019.

In terms of academic qualifications, the student must have finished a 10+2 or equivalent test from a recognised board in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Biotechnology. In these topics, the candidate must have passed both the theory and practical examinations.

Candidates in the reserved category must have received a minimum of 50% in the qualifying test in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology.

Should have received 60 percent in PCB when taken as a whole, and should have passed these topics on their own.

JIPMER, Puducherry has not released any official notification for the entrance exam of JIPMER MBBS 2019 apart from the exam related dates as per which the exam is scheduled to be conducted on June 2. Last year, the eligibility criteria of the exam were changed as the candidates were required to obtain a minimum aggregate percentage of 60% across Physics, Chemistry and Biology in Class 12 while the PwD and reserved category candidates were required to obtain 50% in PCB. The minimum required percentage is expected to remain the same in 2019. It is unlikely that JIPMER will introduce the upper age limit but it cannot be said certainly as the information brochure has not been released. It is advisable to wait for the official notification to be released and prepare for the exam.
