Sir, is 140-150 out of 300 in JEE mains a safe marks to get a better NIT?

The cutoff marks varies college wise & branch wise. For top NITs you need to score more than 200 & for lower NITs you need to score more than 100. For further to know about the cutoff you can go through with given below link.

You need to score more than 125 marks in JEE to get admission in NITs in other state quota. Cut off varies branches wise as well.

Assuming general category, to get into top NIT your score should be more than 200 and to get into decent/fair NIT's your score should be above 120.

So the above shall be your 'safe score'.
