What score in JEE Main is safe to get CSE in the best NIT?

I think a a score of 260+ can get you cse branch in any NIT. However the cutoffs vary year to year. It also depends on your category. For example in st category u can get cse with a score of 110 . So please check previous cut offs and ranks

The cutoffs vary every year depending upon various factors like number of students appearing for the exam, difficulty of paper set, etc.

To get admission in any of the NIT (National Institute of Technology) the cutoffs for Computer Science Branch are highest (240-250+ on 360). I suggest you to score as high as possible.

Amartya, as you may knowits depends on your rank which depends both on your score and also your quota. please check the previous year cutoffs to get a rough idea of the score according to your quota although i recommend to score more than the average as it changes year to year
