Genetics is often called the science of ‘heredity’. It refers to the study of genes and the technology to understand and recombine them. If you are doing 10+2 in Science stream, you can go for a BSc in Genetics. Those who have taken Maths also can apply for a B.Tech course in Genetic Engineering. You can progress in research, teaching and industrial roles. Genetic Engineers can work in the field of medical, pharmaceutical, agriculture, government and private organizations for research and development.
