As per the information released by the National Board of Examinations (NBE), the syllabus of NEET MDS shall be that of BDS standard and shall cover all the subjects/syllabus taught during the BDS course. The exam will comprise of 240 multiple-choice questions which candidates will have to answer in 3 hours. There will be 14 questions each from the topics of General Anatomy including embryology & histology, General human physiology & Biochemistry, Dental Anatomy, Embryology & Oral Histology, General Pathology & Microbiology, General and Dental Pharmacology & Therapeutics, Dental Materials, General Medicine, General Surgery, Pedodontics & Preventive Dentistry, Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics, Periodontology, Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge, Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Public Health Dentistry and 15 Questions each from the topics of Oral Pathology & Oral Microbiology and Oral Medicine & Radiology. As per the trends observed from NEET MDS 2017, to secure admission in MDS Oral and Maxillofacial surgery course in a Government Dental College in most states, you will have to score 850 marks and above out of 1200.
