The syllabus for MBBS at a standard college or university is as follows:-
- 1st and 2nd Sem - Anatomy, Bio-chemistry, Physiology
- 3rd, 4th and 5th Sem - Community Medicine; Forensic Medicine, Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Clinical postings in wards, OPDs to begin here
- 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th Sem - Community Medicine, Medicine and allied subjects (Psychiatry, Dermatology), Obstetrics and Gynaecology; Paediatrics;Surgery and allied subjects (Anesthesiology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics); Clinical postings
