It is difficult to predict the actual cutoff. But if you have a rank under 8000, you can surely get a seat in top NITs like NIT Trichy, Warangal, Surathkal, Nagpur, Rourkela etc. Going by previous year's trends, you need to get at least 99.3 percentile for general categiry in Jee Main to get top NITs.
