what We have to do to be a judge?
Hello Himanshi,
To become a judge, you need to get a 5 year or 3 year LLB degree from a college or university recognised by Bar council of India.
After that you may appear for various states Judicial service examination conducted by the respective high court to become a Civil Judge or judicial magistrate.
You can also appear for Higher Judicial Services exam after having not less than 7 years of experience in litigation before a high court/ district court.
After clearing the exam you will be posted as Additional District Judge (ADJ) who looks after all kinds of cases in a city or town. You will easily get promotion as a High Court Judge before your retirement.
