To become a pilot in India you first need to qualify your 12th exams with minimum 55% in the subjects of physics, mathematics and chemistry.
After that you need to join a pilot training school and complete minimum 1500 hours of flying to be considered as a commercial pilot. Then you need ear the 'flight instructor certificate '
Since flying schools are expensive, there are two ways you could do the training for free.
- You could appear for the exam of the Indian Airforce and once you clear it and the physical test you can join their free training. You could quit after a while and apply with any other commercial airline.
- British Airways is the national carrier or the United Kingdom. They provide a completely free Pilot Training Programme. So all you have to do is apply with them and you don't need any experience to do so. Check British Airways official website for more information on this. This programme is called British Airways Future Pilot Programme (BA FPP)
