I got 87.9 persentile and I am obc catagory what will be my rank overall and in obc catagory?

Hi Aspirant,

I Hope you are referring to JEE Mains percentile, As JEE Mains result are out now. JEE Mains is the National level entrance examination for Engineering Program in Private or Government Institutions across India. The Eligibility criteria is 10+2 passed in Subjects like physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. 12th Standard Marks or percentage does not add any weightage to JEE Mains Rank.

JEE Ranks are National Ranks there is no Reservations( Different Rank for SC and General) under this. Reservation are done in colleges and Institutions for seats based on Previous year cut off and scores category wise. As you have secured 71 Percentile in JEE Mains you would fall under 385534 - 264383 Ranks. This are National Ranks. So when you pick up any college or institution and you belong to SC Category, There will be some seats reserved.

For Example, if secured some X rank, you might get seat in top colleges for less scope stream or you might get mid level college with excellent stream based on reservations. Hope you got our point. All the best for you career.
