Yes Ministry of education soon notified for the centrelised exam for Engineering degree and even Aicte and UGC both will conduct the caliber test for all the Engineering student when they were in final year of degree .Caliber test will be applicable for further education and job whether it's private or Govt

Yes, it is true that there will be only one exam from 2018 to get admission in engineering colleges including state and private colleges except IITs.
You can prepare according to CBSE syllabus. Focus on NCERT books for your preparation.
