In June and July of 2024, the Vipassana Research Institute (VRI) began accepting students for its 2024–2025 distance learning diploma programs in Buddhism, including the "Diploma Course in Buddhist Studies – Vipassana Theory & Practice" offered in partnership with Mumbai University.
